The organization and structure of the SICL are regulated by the bylaws (STATUTO in Italian) .

The association is governed by a steering committee composed of seven members, including the president elected by the members of SICL.

The committee is in charge for four years and members may be reelected. The Council shall be convened by the President who is in charge to carry out the resolutions adopted.

Each year, the SICL members convene to discuss and to schedule the activities of the Society, to approve the balance sheet and the budget.
