The school will be held in the pictoresque small pre-medieval town of Erice, one of the most attractive location in Sicily. Located on top a 751 m high mountain, Erice is very famous for its old history, funded maybe by Trojans after escaping in the Mediterranean sea about 3000 years ago.
In Erice you can admire great panorama over the western coast of Sicily, the Castele of venus, the Cyclopean walls and the Gothic cathedral.
You can enjoy Sicilian cousin in the local small restaurants and among the best pastries of Sicily. Furthermore Erice is very close to the interesting archeological sites of Sagesta, funded by the old population of Elymians, Selinunte funded by the Greeks, the Phoenician Motya.
From Erice you can also reach fantastic touristic attractions, such as the Aegadian Islands and splendid beaches of San Vito Lo Capo, Scopello, Cornino and the rocky coast of Monte Cofano of the header picture of this website.
The lectures of the school will be held at the “E. Majorana” for the Scientific Culture (http://www.ccsem.infn.it) directed by the Italian Physicist A. Zichichi.
The main building of the center is located in the old former monastery of S. Rocco. Another conference hall is located in the former old church of S. Domenico completely refurbished and efficiently equipped to host scientific meeting sessions.
